Steel RunAs

There are situations in which you need to run a certain application using your own administrator credentials. For example, you are a network admin and need to run an update software on a client computer, but the username of that computer has limited rights and cannot run software installations. In this situation, you will need to input your domain, username and password in order to be able to install the software update.

You could perform this operation through Start - Run, but it's much easier to do it using Steel RunAs. This Windows application allows you to modify any executable file, by adding your username and password, so that whenever you access the application, it will automatically use your credentials to run. Thus, you won't need to enter the username and password every time you need to run the software and, as such, you will save a lot of time and effort.

After installing Steel RunAs, you will first need to point to the executable file which needs to be modified. After that, you will just need to enter the domain, username and password. Optionally, you can enter command arguments and switches, so that the application is executed in a certain way. You can also configure an icon for the modified executable file and even set a password for the executable, so that nobody except you can execute it using your username and password.
